Three Little Fairies

Three little fairies
Wearing gold, pink, and green.
They're the loveliest fairies
I ever have seen!

The one dressed in gold
Shines as bright as the sun;
And though she can dazzle,
She's also quite fun!

And just feast your eyes
On the greenly-clad fairy;
Her natural beauty
Is extraordinary!

The sweet fae in soft pink,
She is lovelier still,
With tendrils of silver
On her head like a hill.

Their unsurpassed beauty,
I say with a sigh,
Is matched by their grace
As they dance and they fly.

I hope you are fortunate
Someday to see,
These three lovely fairies,
I'm sure you'll agree!

Fairies Everywhere

Wherever you go, here or there,
Fairies are found most everywhere!
Up in the mountains, as high as the sky,
Look and you'll see some fairies go by.
Or visit the broad and dusty plains,
Where you'll see the fairies that bring the rains.
Then go to the oceans, look close at the whales,
You'll see fairies holding on tight to their tails!
And have I mentioned the forest green?
It's the loveliest place that fairies are seen,
Or maybe you find gardens lovelier still,
Oh yes, there will be some there, surely there will!
The rivers, the valleys, the hot desert sand,
Just look and you'll find them all over the land;
For fairies are found here and there, far and near,
Delighting all people with sparkly cheer!

Fairies in the Morning

Oh in the morning
The fairies rise,
Wipe the sleep
From their dreamy eyes,
Wake to face
Another day,
Filled with wonder
And come-what-may.

They yawn and stretch,
Unfurl their wings,
And rise to see
What the new day brings,
Comb the tangles
From their hair,
Then open their windows
To the morning air.

And so the fairies
Start their day.
Just the same
As us, you say?
Except for the wings,
They are, you see,
Much the same
As you and me!

A Hidden Fairy

A fairy is hiding somewhere near
I'm sure as sure can be;
There's magic sparkling in the air
And though I cannot see
The little pixie yet I know
That soon she'll come to me,
For under a toadstool I have set
Some tempting cakes and tea.

And if she doesn't show herself
Perhaps another day
She'll come and taste the lovely treats
And sit awhile, and stay;
I hope she'll be my fairy friend,
We'll laugh and sing and play,
And dance around the Maypole,
Then she'll freely fly away.

Because I know she will return
As friends we have become,
I needn't keep her in a jar
Like a ripened little plum,
For that would be so selfish,
And she'd be very glum;
She'll come back for the friendship,
And the tasty tidbits--yum!

A Fairy Friend

Dance little fairy, sing me a song,
And I will prance and whistle along;
Together we'll make merriment,
Cavorting about until we're spent.

Then we'll sit and sip some tea,
Eat sweet cakes, and laugh with glee;
Oh, little fairy, dance and sing,
The birds will twitter and bluebells ring.

Joy and magic fills the day,
When a fun little fairy comes to play;
I hope you have a fairy friend,
And if not, well, just pretend!

A Sad Little Fairy

A sad little fairy sits all alone,
Her wings are tattered and torn;
The light in her eyes is growing dim,
She sighs and feels forlorn.

All her friends are far away,
Her family members, too;
Without a loved one close to her
How could she not be blue?

The sad little fairy wipes her eyes,
Begins to mend her wings,
And as she does a simple song
To herself she sings.

When her wings are whole again
Her heart has also mended,
And she sees clearly now, it's true,
Her life is far from ended.

She'll make new friends and visit the old
Who live in far-off lands;
Her happiness is up to her,
It all is in her hands.

So when you're feeling sad and blue
Remember the little fae;
Find a way to mend yourself,
And make a brighter day.

The Fairy Light

The fairy light
Twinkles at night,
And shines
Throughout the day,
Illuminating
The path in darkness,
In daylight
Showing the way.

This magic light
Shines clear and bright,
In each
And every heart,
Leading us
To beauty and truth
In which
We can take part.

To the light
Set your sight,
Within you
And without,
To keep you
On a peaceful path,
Free from
Fear and doubt.

Become the light
Full of delight,
Your essence
Pure and true;
The luminescence
Guides you home,
To what's
Already you.

Fairies in a Circle

Dancing in a circle
The fairies laugh and sing;
They prance and play
Throughout the day,
Enjoying everything.

With tiny little feet
Around and 'round they go;
With happy sounds
Their joy abounds,
Banishing every woe.

Moving oh so freely
On the ground and in the air,
Their hearts take flight
Both day and night,
Releasing them from care.

Why are they so happy,
With spirits flying high?
They lighten up
From morn till sup,
And so could you and I!

The Forest Fairy

A fairy wanders the forest
Visiting all the trees;
She leans her cheek to all their trunks
And looks at their soft green leaves.

She heals and protects the woodlands,
This gentle little fae;
She takes her work quite seriously,
And works both night and day.

For trees can quickly vanish,
Gone at the woodsman's hand;
It brings such tears to the fairie's eyes,
And leaves scars upon the land.

And for what are the precious woods
Cut down in their prime?
A chair, a door, a dollar?
To replace them takes much time.

So help the little fairy;
Do everything you can
To keep the trees where they belong
Helping environment and man.

Reduce, reuse, recycle
Isn't just for tree-hugging faes,
It's for all of us and our children,
And for those in the coming days.

Go take a walk in a forest,
Find a lovely tree to squeeze;
If the wandering fairy sees you
I'm sure she will be pleased!

The Fairy Song

Have you heard a tinkling sound
Like tiny bells a-ringing?
It just might be a happy tune
Wee fairies are a-singing!

Stop and get real quiet,
Listen with your heart;
Can you hear the melody?
Hearing it's an art.

It's just a matter of tuning in
There really is no magic
To hearing fairies sing a tune;
That we don't do it more is tragic.

Fairy voices give the world
Much happiness and joy,
To hear them should be daily fare
For every girl and boy.

People would be happier
If every single day
They paused their lives and took some time
To listen to the fae.

Open up your heart a bit,
And open up your mind,
Fairies may be singing to you
In voices sweet and kind.

Let their music shimmer
All throughout your being;
It can be quite healing
And also very freeing.

Fairy song unites us
With all the best of life,
So leave aside your toils,
Step outside your strife.

Join them in their chorus,
Sing the sweet refrain
Of life that's full of wonder;
You've everything to gain!

A Fairy House

A sweet and tiny fairy house
Is hidden in the deepest woods;
I saw it just the other day
Far away from neighborhoods.

Inside there was a little fairy
Happy at her chores,
Caring not a bit for what
Was going on outdoors.

Perhaps it would have frightened her
To know that I was there,
But then again she might have brought
Some cookies out to share.

I want to go back another day
And leave a little treasure
Something sparkling and bright
To give the fairy pleasure.

Maybe someday we'll be friends,
That wee little fae and I;
The only way I'll ever know
Is to give it a gently try.

Till then I'll keep my distance
So she won't be scared away,
Until she knows I'll be her friend
And never will betray

The sweet and tiny fairy house
Which the deepest woods disguises;
If you find it, please be kind,
And you may get some fairy surprises!

The Rainy Day Fairy

Beneath the leaves of a bright yellow flower
A fairy sits and listens to the shower
Of rain falling plip plop all around
On plants and rooftops and on the ground

Washing everything clean and clear
The trees, the houses, and even the air
So everything's fresh and sparkling like new
And covered with drops like morning dew.

Though clouds hide the sun, it's a pleasant day
Relaxing, refreshing, in every way
A time for renewal and quenching the thirst
Of the parched and dry and dusty earth.

As the fairy sits still and soaks it in
The sights and sounds cause her to grin;
She's happy to see within and without
The end of the long and weary drought

For she knows the rain and the sun take their turns,
An important lesson in life she has learned
To flow with the times, for she knows they will change
As rainbows and sunshine follow the rains.

In every moment there's something to gain
Like listening to the music of the falling rain;
Our wise fairy knows that life brings us showers
And she also knows that showers bring flowers.

Fairies Dance

Fairies in the meadow
Dance among the flowers
Sparkling with dewdrops
In the morning hours.

Fairies in the woodland
Dance among the trees
With a soft wind blowing
Easy as you please.

Fairies at the seaside
Dance in glittering sand
As the waves come gently
Lapping at the land.

Fairies on the hilltop
Dance in noonday sun
Sweet fresh air so lively
Adds to all their fun.

Fairies in the garden
Dance along the path
And in shady places
Sit and rest and laugh.

Fairies in the village
Dance out in the streets
With fresh baked bread aromas
And windows filled with treats.

Fairies in wee houses
Dance in evening's glow
All grows quiet 'round them
Like winter's fallen snow.

Fairies underneath the stars
Dance in moonbeams bright
As the little children
Sleep into the night.

Fairies everywhere today
Dance when e'er they can
Bringing joy and pleasure
To self and beast and man.

The Shop-Till-You-Drop Fairy

A fairy went to town one day,
She needed several things,
Like ribbons for her flowing hair
And glitter for her wings.

Besides all her necessities
She found some other stuff,
Some pillows and soft coverlets,
And other kinds of fluff.

Also sparkling dishes,
Tidbits sweet to eat,
Lovely frocks with pockets,
Shoes for her tiny feet.

Tempted by their shine and glow,
Their lovely hues and flowers,
She gathered quite a lot that day,
And shopped and shopped for hours!

Then home she went with all her goods
Her feet and purse were tired,
She sat among her purchases
Feeling uninspired.

A cup of tea, a bite to eat,
A little bit of rest,
And once again the fairy
Was feeling quite her best.

And picking up a ribbon,
She tied it on her wrist,
Reminding her the next time
Go shopping with a list!

The Elusive Fairy

Glitter, sparkle,
Twinkle, wink.
Is it a fairy?
Yes, I think!

Wings that shine
And a magic glow
Say that it is.
So, do you know

A good way to catch
And keep a fairy?
We'll have to be sly,
She'll be quite wary.

Let's get a fine net
And a pretty jar
To catch her before
She goes too far.

Oh no! Quick, quick!
She's getting away!
We'll have to wait
For another day.

Fairy in a Muddle

Some fairies are simple beings
Not made for this technical age
Their minds go all aflutter
Reading a techie web page.

Yet sometimes it's quite necessary
To master the more complex themes
Sadly there's no pixie magic
Enlightening us in our dreams.

So here I sit in a muddle
Trying to figure things out
Breathing ever so deeply and trying
To leave my hair in, not pull out.

In the end it will all come together
The bells and the whistles and all
That will make my fairy site wondrous
To all those who pay it a call.

Until then this humble beginning
Where fairy rhymes flow from the heart
Welcomes you in with a sweet fairy grin
And hopes that you never depart.
(Well, and least not without 'Follow'ing me first!)

Sleepyhead Fairy

Fairy, fairy
Still in bed,
Time to get up
Sleepy head!
There's places to fly
And magic to make,
So up and at 'em
For goodness sake!
The day's half over
But before it ends
Go out in the sunshine
With your fairy friends.
Have an adventure,
Do something new;
Seize the day!
Let it capture you!

The Fidgety Fairy

Can't sit
still
wants to
move
here, there
wherever;
can't focus
thoughts are
scattered,
tired but
wired,
bored but
doesn't
want to do
anything!
Sing her to
sleep,
rock her
into the
deep;
all her
magic will
keep
until she
awakes.

Fairies Sparkle

Have you ever seen a fairy?
They're quite a sight to see;
With dainty wings that sparkle
They prance about with glee

Or fly up to the treetops
Then down amongst the flowers,
They laugh and play and sing and dance
And while away the hours.

If I had my druthers
A fairy I would be,
Carefree and so happy,
Lighthearted and free!

Prosperity Fairy

Dancing under the money tree
The prosperity fairy laughs with glee
With riches abounding for all to see,
Plenty for you, and plenty for me!

A Fairy's Neverending Day Off

If I were a fairy
I'd fly away
To the highest mountain
On a sunny day.

I'd fly so high,
So fast, so free,
There'd only be the wind,
The sunshine, and me.

If I were a fairy
I'd fly away;
There'd only be me,
And only today.
